The Republican Party is desperate to stop Donald Trump. They just don’t have any actionable plan that can take him down. Last night, Donald Trump solidified himself as the frontrunner as Ted Cruz took two states: Texas and Oklahoma. Marco Rubio, surprisingly, took Minnesota. Trump cleaned up the rest and is now the undeniable frontrunner. The party has only one hope: a brokered convention. The party just has to make sure establishment candidate, Marco Rubio, gets enough delegates to challenge Donald Trump. But, by enacting this plan, they are splitting their party deeply and setting up a messy fight all the way to the convention. Whether this works or not, the Republican Party as the we know it is over.
