Small Aircraft Crashes on California Freeway

On Friday morning, a six-passenger aircraft attempting to land at John Wayne Airport in California, fell short of the runway, crashing on a nearby freeway. According to reports, two people were airlifted to a local hospital after the twin-engine Cessna 310 struck the 405 highway. Sources add that the pilot of the plane declared an emergency shortly after taking off from the airport. It was then trying to return when the crash occurred.
