Plan Approved to Fix Water Lines in Flint

On Tuesday, a US Federal judge approved a plan that will replace water lines at over 18,000 homes in the city of Flint, Michigan. The plan is meant to overcome a disastrous decision back in 2014 to draw water from the Flint river without testing it first for lead contamination. Last year, the Natural Resources Defense Council and American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan sued the city and the state on behalf of residents in Flint.
