MISSISSAUGA — Credit Valley Conservation and the City of Mississauga are inviting residents to take part in a community tree planting on May 31 at Erindale Park.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Those taking part will plant native trees and shrubs to increase the forest cover.

No tree planting experience is required. Shovels and gloves will be provided but participants can bring their own.

“This is an opportunity for community members to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature and do their part for the local environment,” said Mike Puddister, CVC’s director of restoration and stewardship.
