Former Labor Secretary Nominee to Step Down From Company

According to a report on Tuesday, Andrew Puzder, who withdrew his name from consideration as nominee for U.S. Labor Secretary, is stepping down as CEO of CKE Restaurants Holdings in April this year. The 66-year-old, who has served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer since 2000, said, “I expressed my desire to have CKE plan for succession approximately a year ago.” Back in February, Puzder pulled his name from consideration for US labor secretary amid concerns that he would not receive enough confirmation votes in the US senate following a swirl of controversies.
