Attorney Gen. Sessions Says Charlottesville Attack Could Be A Hate Crime

President Trump has drawn criticism for his handling of the deadly attack that took place on Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia when an anti-racist protester was killed while demonstrating against a white supremacist march. On Wednesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the attack could be prosecuted as a civil rights violation or hate crime. Sessions told NBC News it still remains unclear what charges James Fields Jr. will face and he also said he couldn’t comment on whether the attack was pre-planned.
